Leg Workout

It was a fairly relaxed day, but I still made time for a leg workout of DB stationary lunges (worked up to 60 lb DBs), SLDLs and calf raises.  Later I spent an hour or so doing some light gardening and spending some quality time with my bonsai.

Jacksonville Trails and the Rare Fritillaria Gentneri

I got the day off to a good start with a couple of 1/2 mile warmup/cooldown walks with a client and followed that with a couple of hours of yard work.  In the afternoon, I went on a fantastic hike on the Jacksonville Trails with a friend and we saw several of the rare Fritillaria Gentneri.

Bandersnatch

After taking care of business and errands earlier in the day, I went on a great run/hike with a friend on the new Bandersnatch Trail above Lithia Park. This could end up being one of my favorite Ashland trails to run.

Thrusters and a Heavy Bag Workout

Between sessions today I made time for a BB thruster workout (thrusters are a squat/shoulder press combo)......10 sets of 12 reps, starting with a 15 lb bar and working up in weight 10 lbs each set.  A little later I spent 30 mins on the heavy bag.

Lower Table Rock

Between client sessions and becoming a grandpa again, I managed to fit in an awesome Lower Table Rock run.  It won't be long before there will be a solid carpet of wildflowers up there.
Oh, and did I mention my grandson was born today?

A Week Of Low Volume and Intensity

I finished a week that was generally lower in volume and intensity with a relaxing day.  It started with an hour or so of play time with Hailey, followed by an hour and a half at the Train Park with Hailey, Rob and Wendy, and ended with a brisk 1+ mile walk with a friend.
Sometimes you just gotta take it easy and play a little.

Yard Work

After getting my day off to a start with 4 brisk 1/2 mile warmup/cooldown walks with a couple of clients this morning and lots of errands and chores, I spent several hours doing some long overdue fall cleanup and only slightly overdue spring cleanup in the yard....still a ton to do, but I made a good dent in it.  Definitely a good workout!

Upper Table Rock, Delt/bi/tri Workout and More Yard Work

This morning I got out to Upper Table Rock again for another great run. Afterward I did a quick workout of DB shoulder presses, DB curls, ring dips, overhead cable tricep extensions, DB rear delt flyes and DB concentration curls.
Then I found time between the rain and hail storms to get another hour of yard work done....and there's still a ton left to do.

Lithia Park Run and Snatches

Since I had to be in Ashland this morning anyway, I took a break from my Table Rock rut and ran the Lithia Park trails for about an hour.
It was cold, the trails were muddy, there was a little snow on the ground with a bit more coming down, plus all of the clumps of snow constantly falling from the trees made it into a war-zone.....it was almost perfect!
In the afternoon/evening, I did a quick workout of overhead squats, snatches and power snatches.

Afterward, I did a quick leg workout of front squats, SLDLs and calf raises. I finished the day with a couple of brisk 1/2 mile walks with a client.

Lower Table Rock, Back/Bicep Workout, and Upper Table Rock

What an awesome day of non-stop activity!
In addition to a few client sessions, I ran Lower Table Rock around noon, then fit in a great back/bicep workout of weighted pullups, DB rows, chinups, hanging scapular retraction/depression and bicep curls (using my rings creatively). Plus, after training a client (a 40 minute resistance training workout) we hiked Upper Table Rock.
